PokerTracker has been around since 2001. It isn't free. The cheapest version of PokerTracker 4 is $64.99, and after the first year there's a fee every year if you want updates.

Flopnado's HUD and analytics are free, with no time limit. This page puts the two side by side: what PokerTracker 4 costs, what you get free in Flopnado, and what PokerTracker 4 does that Flopnado doesn't. There's a fair bit in that last part. If you need those things, PokerTracker 4 is the better pick.

What PokerTracker 4 costs

PokerTracker 4 is sold by game. Hold'em is $99.99. Omaha is $99.99. Both together are $159.99.

There's also a cheaper Small Stakes version: $64.99 for Hold'em, or $99.99 for both games. It only covers games up to $0.25/$0.50 No Limit and tournaments up to a $22 buy-in. Move up past that and you have to upgrade.

The first year of updates comes with it. After that there's a yearly support and maintenance fee, and it renews on its own. It's $69.99 a year for Hold'em, or $44.99 for Small Stakes Hold'em. Hold'em and Omaha together is $99.99 a year.

You don't have to pay it. If you stop, you keep the version you have. What you lose is the updates, and those include the fixes PokerTracker makes when a poker site changes something. If a site changes after your plan runs out, you don't get the fix.

So over three years, Hold'em at every stake comes to $239.97. Small Stakes Hold'em comes to $154.97. Some sites need paid add-ons on top. Ignition needs the Hand Grabber, at $39.99 a year. The Asian poker apps need a converter that costs $29 to $49 a month.

The trial is 14 days. During the trial the HUD shows a "TRIAL: Please Register" message that you can't get rid of, and you can't make your own stats.

Flopnado's HUD and analytics cost nothing, now or later. The calculators and the solver are €20, paid once. There's no yearly fee.

What you get free in Flopnado

The HUD

Flopnado's HUD works the same way PokerTracker's does. It reads the hand history files your poker site saves, and the numbers update after every hand. Each opponent gets a line of stats on the table. You pick which stats show, what order they go in and what colour they are. You can have a line or a box.

One line of stats over each player.
One line of stats over each player.

Click the + on a player and all their stats open. There are 36 in all. Preflop ones like steal, 3-bet and blind defence. Postflop ones like c-bet, check-raise and float. And showdown stats. Hover over any stat and it tells you what it means and how it's worked out. They're all on the stats page too.

The popup has three buttons, FLP, TRN and RVR. Press one and the postflop stats are counted from that street only. A player who c-bets 60% overall might c-bet the turn 30% of the time, and that's the number you want on the turn. PokerTracker 4's popups can be split by street too, so this one's even.

The popup on TRN, showing turn stats only.
The popup on TRN, showing turn stats only.

There's a tick box in the HUD settings to split cash and tournament stats. With it on, a cash table shows each player's cash hands only. A tournament table shows their tournament hands only. PokerTracker 4 does the same with its HUD filters.

The analytics

The analytics are free too. You get your results over time, with a second line for what you should have won in your all-in hands. That second line is how you tell a bad run from bad play. There's also a line for hands that went to showdown and one for hands that didn't.

You can see each session, a chart of which starting hands make and lose you money, and every hand in a list. Double-click a hand to replay it. At each step it shows your equity, the pot odds and your EV against the range you give the other player. You can filter by date, session, table size, position, and cash or tournament.

Your results, against what you should have won when all in.

What Flopnado does that PokerTracker 4 doesn't

Your stats against each player

Flopnado has a view called Vs hero. Press a key and the box over each opponent shows your stats instead of theirs. They're worked out from only the hands you've played with that player. So you can see how you look to each person at the table. If you've been 3-betting one regular all night, you'll see it right there in their box.

PokerTracker 4 doesn't have this built in. Its staff said so on its forum. In 2025, players there were still writing their own database code to build something like it.

Stats by position, on one key

Press another key and every box switches to stats from the seat each player is in this hand. A player with 19% VPIP overall might play 45% of hands on the button. This view shows you the 45%. PokerTracker 4 can show positional stats, but you add them yourself in the HUD editor, one stat and one position at a time.

You pick the keys yourself. The keys only work while a poker table is in front, so typing anywhere else won't switch anything. Overall stats are free. By position and Vs hero come with the €20 licence.

Calculators and a GTO solver

The same €20 also gets you hand vs range, range vs range, up to 9 ranges on one board, and every flop, turn and river for a range. It also gets you a GTO solver and a trainer that drills you on your own solves. The solver gets the same answer as PioSolver, and you can see the comparison here. PokerTracker 4 has an equity calculator and an ICM calculator, but no solver.

All of these lock while a poker table is open, so they stay inside the poker sites' rules. The HUD keeps working.

What PokerTracker 4 does that Flopnado doesn't

PokerTracker 4 does a lot more than Flopnado as a tracker. It's worth knowing what before you choose.

Your own stats and HUD designs

PokerTracker 4 has a drag and drop HUD editor, and you can build new stats from scratch. You can colour a stat by its value, so a VPIP over 40 turns red. Players share HUDs and stats in its download library. Flopnado's 36 stats are fixed. You can't add new ones.

Notes and tags

In PokerTracker 4 you can write notes on a player, give them a colour, and tag hands to look at later. It also writes notes on its own, for example what a player showed down after a certain line. Flopnado has none of this.

HUD filters

PokerTracker 4 can show only stats from the stake you're playing, from the last few weeks, or from one table size. Flopnado can keep cash and tournaments apart, but it counts every stake together.

Omaha and other games

PokerTracker 4 does 4-card Omaha, plus Pot Limit and Fixed Limit Hold'em. Flopnado is built for No Limit Hold'em.

Tournaments

PokerTracker 4 tracks your tournament buy-ins, prizes and ROI, and has ICM tools for final tables. Flopnado shows your tournament hands, but it doesn't track buy-ins, prizes or ROI.

Reports

PokerTracker 4 has many more reports, and you can build your own. Its LeakTracker compares your stats with winning players. There's a graph of how often your draws came in, and a chart of who has won money from whom.

More sites

PokerTracker 4 works on Unibet and a long list of other networks. It can import GGPoker, CoinPoker and partypoker hands so you can review them after you play, but there's no HUD on those sites. With its paid add-ons it also works on Ignition and the Asian poker apps.

Flopnado works on PokerStars, 888poker, ACR, BlackChip, PokerKing, Winamax and the iPoker sites: bet365, Betsson, Red Star, Paddy Power and Sky Poker. There's a setup guide for each one.

Bringing your old hands

PokerTracker 4 can take your database from Holdem Manager. Flopnado can't read another tracker's database. It can import the original hand history files, if you still have them.

Which one should you use?

If you play No Limit Hold'em on one of Flopnado's sites, and you want a good HUD and your results without paying every year, start with Flopnado. It's free, so you lose nothing by trying it at your own tables.

If you play Omaha, play on a site Flopnado doesn't support, or want your own stats, notes and deep reports, PokerTracker 4 is the better tool. It costs more because it does more.
